Frequently Asked Questions

Metal stamping is a manufacturing process in which flat sheet metal is formed into a desired shape using a press and a custom-engineered die. The die applies force to cut, bend, punch, or form the metal into a finished or near-finished part with a high degree of consistency and repeatability.

Metal stamping encompasses a range of specific processes, including precision stamping, progressive die stamping, in-die tapping, and in-die assembly, each suited to different part geometries, volumes, and complexity levels.

Metal stamping uses a press and die to cut parts from sheet metal in a high-volume, repeatable process optimized for consistent components at scale. Metal fabrication is broader, covering cutting, welding, bending, and machining — typically for lower-volume or more custom work.

Yes. Most metal stampers don’t mold plastic, and most plastic molders don’t stamp metal. We do both under one roof, so programs combining stampings with injection molding, insert molding, or overmolding are managed by a single supplier. This eliminates vendor coordination, tightens quality, and simplifies the supply chain.

Our quality approach starts with DFM analysis before the die is built, continues with vision systems, dimensional inspection, and poka-yoke error-proofing during production, and is backed by all five APQP core tools under IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certification. These automotive-grade quality systems apply to every metal stamping program we run.
